Here are some foods in our bucket list-

1. Soda

Who doesn't like soda? Even i do. Ask just about any person hearing the soda sound is synonymous with satisfaction and everyone has his favorite type. But what happen when you drink it?

The immediate effects of soda are well-documented. About 20 minutes after you finish the bottle, it hits you like 100 percent of your recommended daily intake of sugar, or 10 teaspoons.

Over time, a couple of sodas a day will start to affect nearly all parts of your body.
  • In Brain: Excessive amounts of added sugar can reduce the production of a chemical known as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). And with inadequate levels of BDNF, everyday cognitive tasks like learning and memory formations become much more difficult.
  • In Lungs: People who drink only one can of soda a day dramatically increase their risk of chronic heart disease (CHD). Compared to participants who drank the least soda, those who drank the most were 20 percent more likely to have a heart attack.
  • In Heart: The amount of soft drink consumption is associated with an increased chance of asthma and/or COPD,” “There exists a dose-response relationship, which means the more soft drink one consumes, the higher the chance of having these diseases.”
  • In Teeth: Each time you have a sip of soda, sugar bonds with bacteria in your mouth, giving rise to acid. This acid weakens enamel, which over time leads to bacterial plaque that causes cavities.

2. Pizza

Most of us love pizza. It's warm, gooey, and topped with whatever it is your heart desires, from pepperoni to pineapple. Everyone craves for a slice. But what happen to your body when you take that slice? Lets face it:

A study on adolescents and young adults who consumed pizza often revealed that on days when they ate pizza, they actually ate more food that was heavy in saturated fats and sodium. The more saturated fats we eat, the more we will want to eat food. High saturated fat content can weaken the dopamine functions that are connected to the reward and motivation areas of your brain. If you eat pizza topped with plenty of meats like pepperoni, You may increase your risk of heart disease. Processed meats like pepperoni, sausage, and cold cuts have been linked to obesity, some cancers, and heart disease. 3. Spicy Food

Do you love to eat spicy stuff? Research has shown that spicy foods can change our brains and boost our overall health with a high concentration of flavor. Hot peppers trick your brain into thinking your mouth is on fire but there is no real heat in a pepper.

It's all about a chemical compound in peppers called capsaicin. Capsaicin binds to pain receptors on our nerves called TRPV1. Normally, it reacts to heat by sending warning signals to the brain. So, you react as if there's something hot in your mouth.

Your body tries to cool itself off. So, you start to sweat and your face turns red. At the same time, your eyes tear up and nose runs. After swallowing, the capsaicin binds to more receptors on its way down.

  • Spicy Food Strengthens Connections Between Brain Cells. It helps preserving key brain functions such as memory and learning.
  • Spicy Food Actually Makes You Live Longer. According to a Harvard study people who eat chilli peppers a few times a week lower their risk of death by 14% in any given period compared with those who stick to blander foods.
